Member Presentation: Addressing Mental Health in the Workplace with Bernie Dyme
May was Mental Health Awareness Month but proactively addressing the mental health needs of your employees and the workplace should be an ongoing process. This presentation will highlight the importance of developing a plan for supporting your employees around handling their mental health. It is good for them and good for the business. The pandemic has opened our eyes and as leaders, we need to address the stress and mental health issues that hamper your employees and the organization’s growth. It begins with leadership and spreads out to managers and employees. Learn the costs of unaddressed mental health, the importance of developing a strategy for mental wellness in your organization and some tips on how to take care of your employees’ mental health needs.
Since co-founding Perspectives Ltd in 1981, President and CEO Bernie Dyme has helped develop an organization committed to delivering the highest-quality workplace resource programs. Bernie continues to create a balanced approach between cost savings and safe, healthy and productive workforces. Throughout his career, he has used his formal clinical training and business experience to provide consulting services to hundreds of organizations. He is an active member of more than a dozen professional and community organizations. Bernie has also served as the president of the board of the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless.
Bernie is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). He has a master’s degree in social work from The University of Chicago.
